#Give100

I saw this a few months back and loved the idea. Maybe you can already tell, but I love anything self-improvement related. This past April, I tried to see how many strides I could go on an elliptical in thirty minutes and went from a relatively lazy 3894 strides to a harder 4306 strides, which was pretty cool. It's too bad I don't have an elliptical at my disposal anymore...

On Monday, I got my knee diagnosis. As it turns out that I likely don't need surgery (yay?/I'll reevaluate in a year), but that I have patellar tendinitis (aka: runner's knee). As a result, I need to be much better about doing my knee exercises. In the past I've done them for ten or fifteen days when I've remembered not seen improvement and gone back to my usual biking and elliptical-ing. Not this time. This leads to my 100 day (#give100) challenge... stronger knees/be able to run five miles without pain.
This will entail...
  • Doing all my doctor recommended exercises (bridges, leg-lifts (up, back, side), and ball squeezes...that sounded weird...) at least 1x a day, and 2x a day when I can.

Well happy Day 3 I guess (Day 1 was Monday)!

Are any of you inspired to take your own #Give100 challenge?
