Saint Patrick's Day

This St. Patrick's Day was a quaint one but that tends to happen when they fall on a Tuesday and you have work the next day. To get in the spirit, I wore the one shirt I have that has Irish-green polka dots on it and baked Irish soda bread and pretended that the raisins I put in it were currants so it seemed more tasty and Irish. During the day, I spent part of my lunch hour at the St. Patrick's Day parade and coincidentally got to stand right in front of Saint Patrick's Cathedral! It was cool even if I could barely see anything and wasn't supposed to be standing where I was standing. Ha.

At night, Amie L, her copain, D, and Amie AB joined me and Amie DB us for too much soda bread and some small Irish Car Bombs. Amie L and Amie DB had never had an Irish Car Bomb before so it was pretty funny to see their reactions to how it all curdles really quickly. After those, we had some Bailey's over ice and while trying to make mine fancy, I went to the cabinet to get the cocoa powder out but without thinking accidentally grabbed the Old Bay. In my defense, they don't actually look too different (1 , 2)...

Despite the drink mishap, it was a good day, and someday I'll maybe have a crazier day (aka; the next time St. Patrick's Day falls on a Saturday). ;)
