Labor Day Weekend In Chicago! :: Part 3

On Sunday, Le Copain and I made the most of the day by starting it off at two in the afternoon after watching The Simpsons all morning. Not even being sarcastic here. It was perfect to relax after a late night, and by the time we went out at two, we were fully rested!

As for when we did finally go out... the tourist in me really wanted to go back to Millennium Park in the nice weather and check out the jazz festival that was going on all weekend, so that's what we did. 

It was sooo different from when we were there in the winter! Green grass. Blue skies. Lots of people. It was alive!

During our walk around the park, we found this foot fountain. Something about it reminded me of the Holy Week washing of the feet thing I did at church with my grandma when I was in middle school...

It was really relaxing though. Cool water and warm temps. Le Copain and I must've sat there for thirty minutes or more! Some kids even had bathing suits on and were trying to swim in it, despite the water being no higher than their knees.
 

Then we ended up in the gift shop of the Art Institute after taking a shortcut through its lobby and found these novelties... :D

And then we obviously saw The Bean! It was swarmed with people, which originally seemed annoying, but it was actually pretty funny to see so many people taking selfies at once!  

After seeing everything we wanted to see, we found a jazz tent (there were many and the shows would rotate between tents so we had been having trouble finding one) and sat outside for awhile to listen to the music! It totally felt like we were experiencing the best Chicago had to offer in that moment.

As the afternoon came to a close, we walked back to Le Copain's (grabbing 7-Eleven slurpees on the way) and ended our exploration of Chicago for the weekend.
