Back to Chicago for now though because that's where I was this past weekend...
On Friday night, Le Copain and I went to his med school formal. It was such a fun occasion for getting dressed up and dancing. Dancing with Le Copain is always my favorite. Not to say either of us is particularly good at dancing (we're not), but both of us are particularly fun when we dance. There's spinning, dipping, swinging, twirling, macarena-ing. The whole bag of fun really.
These are some of Le Copain's fun friends who we sat with at the formal. I wish I got one of all of us at the table because we made for a pretty good group. It was me, plus the three of them, plus one's awesome girlfriend (who recommended some great lipstick and professionally figure skates!), plus another few of their friends including one whose name is Prince and pretended to be a vegan on my behalf when we sat next to each other. Hah.
One of our dance breaks turned into a selfie break. (And there's about fifty more where these came from. We'll call it Fifty Shades of Selfies in the spirit of the pop culture of the times. Yes.)
I took this one when we were waiting for our Uber back home. He's trying to subtly smile with only one of the corners of his mouth up. But actually. He made a point of it.
After brunching we decided to walk towards the beach, which seemed okay at first (look at that blue sky!) and turned out to be a pretty bad idea because it was freezing in the wind (look at that not so blue sky!), so we decided to turn around and go home and vowed to never go outside again. No. Not really. But we did stay inside a bunch more and only ventured out for pizza double dates. This is actually pretty much true. One of them entailed some of our bestest best Cornell friends, Ami S and Amie M, a pizza named "Wiki-Leeks", a lame rap video, and some delicious nine dollar Trader Joe's wine.
